Description
“Spirits In The Sky”
The original painting by Romani American Artist J.A. George AKA; The GYPSY was done to honor a Biker Friend friend of The GYPSY’s who was dying from an inoperable stomach tumor. The painting takes a surrealistic look at PTSD and the effects it has on those afflicted emotionally, physically and mentally.
Surrealist works feature the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur; however, many Surrealist artists and writers regard their work as an expression of the philosophical movement first and foremost, with the works being an artifact. Leader Andrà Breton was explicit in his assertion that Surrealism was above all a revolutionary movement.
