The high country calls you. You are drawn towards the mountains by the sound of the crisp cold rushing river and the wind whistling through the pines. As you sit down in the soft grass at the edge of the flowing water you gaze at the snow covered mountains. You feel small compared to the giants in the distance. The pines sway in the wind like green clad angels stretching their wings. And for a brief moment you feel like you have heard the voice of God.

This painting was inspired by a trip I took through Wyoming and Montana in 2010.
